Early Insights Programs: Thus far, we have posted 45 early insights applications out of the 50 applications expected. We do not expect many more class of 2028 programs to be released as firms begin the interview stage of the recruitment process in the following weeks.
Summer 2027 Internship Applications: To date, 90 firms have posted 588 finance internships for the summer of 2027: J.P. Morgan, Citibank, Lazard, Raymond James, Barclays, Deutsche Bank, Moelis & Co., Perella Weinberg Partners, Houlihan Lokey, William Blair, Baird, Jefferies, FT Partners, Jefferies Lincoln International, Goldman Sachs, and more. Expected Timeline for Firms Launching Summer 2027 Applications
We typically see a handful of firms post their first junior summer internship during August of students’ 2nd year. There tends to be a gradual trickle of positions into mid December and then by late December or early January there is an explosion of firms posting. This year is no different, with 15 firms launching their first junior summer internship application between August 2025 and November 2025. Then in December 2025, 27 firms launched junior summer positions, and in January, 46 firms posted their first summer 2027 position. We anticipate around 20 more firms to launch positions in February 2026. March 2026 through August 2026 should slow to a trickle.Then there will be an uptick of more firms posting in September 2026.
Note: Many firms post summer 2027 positions across an extended timeline. For example, a firm might post or re-post summer 2027 applications in January, March, and July. In this situation, this firm would count as beginning posting in January

The number of applications sees a similar trend. From August 2025 through November 2025, we saw 73 summer 2027 applications posted. This jumped to 161 in December 2025. January had a huge explosion in applications this year, reaching 349. We expect things to begin slowing down to 30-50 applications monthly from February 2026 through July 2026. Then, from August 2026 through November 2026, we’ll see another big wave of summer 2027 positions being posted.
