Yash’s interest in finance began early, sparked by hands-on experience in the markets. As a high school student, he actively managed his own investments, developing a curiosity for how trends and catalysts drive price movements.

That curiosity carried into his time at the University of Illinois, where he studied finance and data science and began exploring careers in asset management and private wealth. Through consistent effort in recruiting and technical preparation, Yash secured a Summer 2027 Private Bank role at J.P. Morgan.

Yash first discovered Adventis during his freshman year through an on-campus investment banking club. After hearing upperclassmen recommend the program, he decided to enroll in the Financial Modeling Certification® Program over the summer.

“They said it’s a valuable skill across both IB and non-IB roles,” he shared.

As he progressed through the FMC® Program, Yash gained exposure to technical concepts that extended far beyond what he encountered in class or student organizations.

“Especially the LBOs, which were completely new to me,” he said. “We briefly touched DCFs in clubs, but this gave me a much deeper dive.”

The structured, step-by-step format of the program helped him build real proficiency in financial modeling, not just surface-level understanding.

“It walks you through everything step by step,” Yash noted. “What better way to answer technical questions than to actually construct one yourself.”

“Speak to who you are as a person,” he advised. “Especially in private wealth, it’s about client interaction.”

He encourages students to take initiative early, particularly by gaining hands-on experience in the markets.

“The best way to learn wealth management is to manage your own money,” he said. “When you have your own money on the line, you’re always paying attention.”
